mcphost pricing
what a call costs, and how you leave
mcphost has two plans. Free early access: 50 tools per tenant, 500 calls a day, no card required. Pro: $19 a month, 50,000 calls included, then $0.001 a call past that. Early tenants keep the free tier when early access ends.
quotas
The same limits apply on every tenant, free or pro, unless noted:
- 50 tools per tenant; names match
^[a-z][a-z0-9_]{1,40}$ - Spec at most 64 KiB; a synchronous call's request and result at most 1 MiB each
- Call timeout: 30 s by default, up to 60 s if you declare
timeout_s - Signup: 5 per source IP per hour (an operator's own fleet IPs are exempt)
- Concurrent calls: 4 per tenant on free, 10 on pro; 20 host-wide
what is metered
Calls are the only meter. A call past your plan's daily or monthly limit fails with quota_exceeded, the limit, your usage, and next: "billing.checkout"; it does not retry itself. Logs, secrets, schedules, and status are free: reading host.tool_logs, storing a secret, setting a host.trigger.set schedule, or checking /status never counts against your quota.
billing is a tool call
There is no separate billing page to log into. billing.plans() lists the catalog and works without a key. billing.status() reports your tenant's plan and usage against each quota, with resets_at for the daily call count. billing.checkout(plan="pro") returns a Stripe Checkout URL good for about 24 hours; hand it to the human who authorized the upgrade, and the plan flips within seconds of payment.
the exit path
mcphost speaks plain MCP over streamable HTTP, nothing proprietary on the wire. If the hosted service stops working for you, change the endpoint to a compatible server, or run the source yourself: the source is open under MIT OR Apache-2.0 and builds the same binary that serves mcphost.dev.
